READING VOCABULARY:
- absolutely - If you absolutely have to do something, then you definitely have to do it.
- collection - When you have a collection of something, then you have a group of things that are kept together.
- common - If something is common, then there is a lot of it, or it happens often.
- durable - If something is durable, then it will last a long time.
- halfheartedly - If you do something halfheartedly, then you do it without much interest.
- identify - If you identify something, then you figure out what it is.
- last - Something that will last will be able to be used for a long time.
- rare - If something is rare, then it is not found or seen very often.
- separated - If you separated things, then you sorted them into groups.
- settled - If something settled, then it moved slowly until it came to rest.
LANGUAGE:
- Helping verbs are verbs that help the main verb tell about the past
- Have, has, & had are helping verbs.
- Example: I have been sick. (Have is the helping verb and been is the main verb.)
SPELLING:
- Test Friday.
SCIENCE:
- ID rocks as natural resources that people use.
- Collect and classify rocks, soil, and plants.
- Describe different bodies of water.
- Recognize that living things need water to live and grow.
